Corinthian Lodge #573 F. & A. M.
Greater Pittsburgh Masonic Center
3579 Masonic Way
You are well aware Corinthian Lodge is a very active Lodge. Our members enjoy the benefits of having energetic people arrange outings and events for the whole family to enjoy. Lately, many more members have found this to be true, and have joined us with their families. We welcome the opportunity of spending time with all of our members, their families, and friends. I am glad to see the word is spreading, and we would like you to continue spreading the word.
More often, we are finding more visitors at our meetings. They have commented to me that they feel welcome when they visit our Lodge, and many have taken advantage of our planned events in order to meet new people, make new friends, and have fun while doing it. This is a fantastic way to show other people how excited we are about being members of this fraternity.
I encourage you to ask some of your friends to participate in some of our outings. We have a vast extent of events planned, but some of you may not realize they are open to everyone, not just members. You may be surprised how many of your friends would be willing to enjoy an afternoon with you and your family. You will never know, however, unless you ask them.
This fraternity thrives on brotherly love. If we ask others who are not members to join us for an outing, they will find out what the fraternity is all about. We will make a new friend in the process, and possibly even boost our membership. The Grand Master has asked all of us to "Replace Ourselves" and sponsor someone who you think would make a good mason, without soliciting them to join. By asking them to take part in our events, you will not be soliciting them to join, merely showing them what freemasons do.
Our Stated Meeting in March will be on Friday March 12, 1999. Dinner will be at 6:45 p.m., with the business meeting to follow at 7:45 p.m. We will have an Easter craft for the wives and children while we are in the meeting, so please encourage them to come. A nominal fee will be charged for the craft. After the meeting we will enjoy a presentation by Police Officers Paul Bodnar and Fred Amendola, who are representatives from the "Pre-Paid legal plan". Everyone is encouraged to attend.
Donít forget about our trip to Ohio for their "Crucible steel Night" Saturday March 20, 1999. We will be leaving GPMC no later than 4:15p.m., in order to arrive there on time for Dinner at 6:00 p.m. I must know how many will be attending no later than Friday March 12 (At the Stated meeting) so we can arrange for transportation and dinner. Master Masons from ANY lodge are encouraged to participate.
Saturday April 24, 1999 will be Corinthian Day at the ZOO. Please invite your entire family, and all of your friends. This is a perfect event to "Spread the cement of brotherly love and affection" and show your friends what we are all about.
Sincerely and Fraternally,
